MCSU is a major cultural centre of the Lublin region. As a liberal academic environment, it fosters creative atmosphere and encourages students to develop their own opinions on important cultural, social, and political events. This is achieved through various initiatives taken by the Faculties, University institutions and affiliated units such as the Academic Centre of Culture, the Polish Language and Culture Centre for Polish People from Abroad and Foreigners, the British Council Library, the Camões Institute Portuguese Language Centre, and the Alliance Française Centre. The University is also a co-organizer of the region’s largest science-promoting initiative – the Lublin Festival of Science.

MCSU’s Academic Centre of Culture is home to

  • the Academic Media Group,

  • the Chatka Żaka Art Cinema,
  • the Kont Gallery,
  • the Saint Nicholas Folk Orchestra,
  • the Art Workshop,
